Job Summary

To support efficient billing processes, the remote Patient Account Representative will manage collections, follow up on accounts, and post billing allowances while ensuring timely resolution of claims.

Key responsibilities
  • Follow up with payers to resolve outstanding claims and ensure accurate billing
  • Monitor and update patient and financial information, addressing any discrepancies
  • Analyze and resolve issues causing payment delays, initiating appeals as necessary
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years' experience in insurance collections and hospital billing
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing, including ICD-9/10 and CPT codes
  • Experience using workflow systems and client host systems such as STAR and EPIC
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
