Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

To support patient billing inquiries, the full-time Patient Account Representative will communicate with patients regarding medical billing, insurance claims, and payment collection while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls to address medical billing and insurance inquiries
• Explain billing processes and payment options to patients clearly and effectively
• Verify patient information and update accounts with relevant details and documentation

Required qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in medical billing processes and insurance terminology
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) or billing software systems
• High School diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus
• Experience in a customer service or call center role, preferably in healthcare
