Job Summary

Communicating effectively with patients, the full-time Patient Account Representative will explain medical billing and insurance claims, resolve inquiries, and ensure timely payment collection in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound patient calls regarding medical billing, insurance claims, and payment collection
• Educate patients on billing processes, insurance coverage, and financial assistance options
• Document all patient interactions accurately and collaborate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues

Required qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in medical billing processes and insurance terminology
• Proficient in computer skills and experience with electronic health records or billing software
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus
• Proven customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
