Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

Working on a hybrid schedule, the full-time Patient Account Representative will manage billing processes, follow-up, and account resolution while collaborating with various departments to meet facility goals.

Key responsibilities

• Contact third-party payers and guarantors to resolve account balances on assigned accounts
• Work all denials and submit appeals for non-clinical denials as necessary
• Document account actions in the client practice management system and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or 3 years of relevant equivalent experience
• 0-2+ years of experience in office, business, operations, customer service, or healthcare
• Familiarity with insurance portals and PC skills in a Windows environment
• Proficiency in desktop applications, including Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
