Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Patient Account Representative 2 will manage billing processes by preparing and submitting claims, analyzing unresolved insurance accounts, and performing follow-ups to ensure accurate reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and submit various billing forms and electronic claims in compliance with regulations
• Analyze and resolve issues related to denied, rejected, and unpaid insurance claims
• Communicate with medical staff and payers to verify and resolve billing and reimbursement information

Required qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent
• Two years of experience in patient accounting, customer service, or a related office environment
• Knowledge of UB, CMS 1500, ADA billing forms, and payer requirements
• Experience with Epic Hospital Billing and/or SBO billing systems
• Familiarity with claims processing, denials, and appeals in a healthcare setting
