Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

Working on a hybrid schedule, the full-time Patient Account Representative will manage billing processes, account resolution, and follow-up for physician claims while collaborating with various departments to meet facility goals.

Key responsibilities

• Contact third-party payers to resolve account balances on assigned accounts
• Monitor and address denials, submitting appeals as necessary and reporting trends to supervisors
• Document all account activities in the client practice management system and ensure compliance with billing regulations

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of Diploma / GED
• 0-2+ years of experience in office, business, operations, customer service, or healthcare field
• Familiarity with insurance portals and billing processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
