Patient Account Representative II

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle operations, the full-time Patient Account Representative II will manage the timely processing of insurance balance patient claims, resolve unpaid accounts, and perform various tasks in Epic while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Responding to payer requests and following up on unresolved patient accounts
• Reviewing and resolving claim edits, denials, and underpayments while performing appeals as necessary
• Posting payments in Epic and resolving credit balances

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
• Knowledge of accounts receivable software systems and medical billing operations
• Familiarity with medical reimbursement policies and procedures
• Understanding of the payer landscape, including Medicare and Medicaid
