Patient Account Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Specialist - Remote (OR & WA).

Key Responsibilities

• Screen patients and process Financial Assistance Applications while verifying eligibility
• Communicate with patients to address inquiries, assist with applications, and resolve account issues
• Perform data entry, maintain customer databases, and complete necessary adjustments and transactions for patient accounts

Required Qualifications

• College coursework preferred in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections, customer service, billing, or a related medical field
• Familiarity with government, commercial, and third-party billing is preferred
• Proficient use of computers and standard office equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with limited supervision
