Patient Account Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Specialist for a Full-Time, remote position in WA, OR, or AK.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen patients and process Financial Assistance Applications, verifying eligibility and making account adjustments
• Communicate with patients to address inquiries and assist with the application process for outreach programs
• Resolve outstanding patient accounts and work with insurance companies and other parties to secure payments

Required Qualifications

• Preferred college coursework in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections, customer service, billing, or a related medical field
• Familiarity with government, commercial, and third-party billing is preferred
• Proficient in MS Office applications and 10-key calculators
• Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
