Patient Account Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Specialist for a Per Diem/Relief position.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen patients and process Financial Assistance Applications, verifying eligibility and making account adjustments
• Communicate with patients to respond to inquiries and assist with the application process for outreach programs
• Work with responsible parties to resolve outstanding patient accounts and ensure appropriate payment arrangements

Required Qualifications

• Preferred college coursework in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections, customer service, billing, or related medical field
• Familiarity with government, commercial, and third-party billing is preferred
