Patient Account Specialist

Job Summary

To support efficient revenue cycle operations, the remote Patient Account Specialist will manage routine patient accounting activities including billing, collections, payment posting, and customer service while ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of assigned accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Works assigned accounts to ensure timely follow-up and resolution
• Performs billing, collections, payment posting, and customer service functions based on assignment
• Documents all account activity accurately and thoroughly

Required qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, billing, collections, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of insurance principles and revenue cycle operations
• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred
• Completion of all assigned HealthStream training within one year is preferred
• Live chat experience is preferred
