Patient Accounting Representative

Job Summary

To support the financial operations of a healthcare facility, the full-time remote Patient Accounting Representative will manage billing and follow-up for hospital claims, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing revenue through timely submissions and denials resolution.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and timely billing of insurance claims in compliance with regulations and payer guidelines
• Expedite larger dollar accounts to ensure prompt payment and revenue optimization
• Follow up on payments, resolve denials, and document all actions taken on accounts

Required qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of collections or administrative experience
• High school diploma
• Demonstrated ability to perform clerical functions and basic accounting procedures
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims processing is preferred
• Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial payer requirements is a plus
