Patient Accounting Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Patient Accounting Representative will manage billing and follow-up for hospital claims, ensuring accurate submission and compliance with regulations while optimizing revenue through timely payment collection.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and timely billing of insurance claims in accordance with policies and regulations
• Expedite larger dollar accounts to ensure prompt payment and revenue optimization
• Resolve payer denials and conduct audits to ensure correct payment is received from payers

Required qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of collections or administrative experience
• High school diploma
• Demonstrated ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures
• Experience motivating debtors to pay
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims processing preferred
