Patient Accounting Representative II

Job Summary

Managing Revenue Cycle accounts receivable, the full-time Patient Accounting Representative II will ensure prompt payment of payer and patient payments while collaborating with various departments to drive collections, working onsite in Cincinnati, OH.

Key responsibilities

• Communicates directly with payers to follow up on outstanding claims and achieve timely reimbursement
• Monitors denial reason codes and collaborates with relevant departments to resolve issues
• Analyzes data to track collection efforts and provides updates and improvement ideas to the team

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred
• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in Revenue Cycle and/or Epic Revenue Cycle applications
• Strong understanding of claims management and third-party payer guidelines
• Ability to maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines
• Experience in training and educating follow-up staff as needed
