Patient Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

To support efficient billing operations, the full-time remote Patient Accounting Specialist will manage the submission of insurance claims, follow up on payments, and resolve denials to ensure maximum reimbursement in compliance with regulations and payer guidelines.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and timely billing of insurance claims in accordance with policies and regulations
• Expedite larger dollar accounts and follow up on payments with insurance companies and patients
• Resolve payer denials and submit appeals as necessary to ensure proper payment is received

Required qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of collections or administrative experience
• High school diploma
• Demonstrated ability to perform clerical functions and basic accounting procedures
• Experience in motivating debtors to pay
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims processing preferred
