Patient Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure accurate billing and revenue optimization, the full-time Patient Accounting Specialist will manage insurance claims submissions, follow up on payments, and resolve denials while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and timely billing of insurance claims in compliance with regulations and payer guidelines
• Expedite larger dollar accounts to optimize revenue and ensure prompt payment
• Follow up on outstanding accounts and resolve payer denials, including submission of appeals as needed

Required qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of collections or administrative experience
• High school diploma
• Demonstrated ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures
• Experience motivating debtors to pay
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims processing is preferred
