Patient Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

To support efficient billing operations, the full-time Patient Accounting Specialist will manage the timely submission of insurance claims, follow up on payments, and resolve denials while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely billing of insurance claims in compliance with regulations and payer guidelines
• Expedite larger dollar accounts to optimize revenue and ensure prompt payment
• Resolve payer denials and submit appeals as necessary while maintaining communication with team leads

Required qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of collections or administrative experience
• High school diploma
• Demonstrated ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures
• Experience in motivating debtors to pay
• Knowledge of and experience with medical insurance claims processing preferred
