Patient Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure accurate billing and follow-up for hospital claims, the full-time remote Patient Accounting Specialist will manage insurance claims submissions, resolve denials, and conduct reimbursement analysis in compliance with regulations and payer guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely billing of insurance claims according to policies and regulations
• Expedite larger dollar accounts to optimize revenue and ensure prompt payment
• Resolve payer denials and conduct audits to ensure expected payments are received

Required qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of collections or administrative experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures
• Experience in motivating debtors to pay
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims processing is preferred
