Patient Accounts Associate

Job Summary

To support the billing and collection efforts of the Patient Financial Services department, the full-time Patient Accounts Associate will manage third-party claims, post transactions, and ensure compliance with financial policies, transitioning to a remote role after 90 days.

Key responsibilities

• Manage billing and collection of third-party claims and self-pay accounts
• Post billing transactions and ensure compliance with departmental policies
• Discuss account statuses with patients and determine referrals for external collections

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in healthcare or business preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in healthcare billing, collections, or banking collections
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and medical terminology preferred
• Ability to type accurately at a minimum of 25 words per minute
