Patient Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Patient Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage the collection of outstanding patient accounts receivable on behalf of franchise partners, ensuring effective communication with patients and stakeholders while optimizing recovery efforts.

Key responsibilities:

• Research accounts to determine self-pay balances and review patient financial responsibilities
• Process patient payments, set up payment arrangements, and identify accounts for write-offs or further collection options
• Assist patients with enrollment in assistance programs and provide clear financial communication regarding their accounts

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous self-pay collections experience, preferably in a medical setting
• Proven understanding of collection processes and techniques
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and pharmacy applications
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
