Patient Accounts Specialist

Job Summary

To support efficient patient billing processes, the full-time Patient Accounts Specialist I will manage accurate billing, ensure timely submissions and reimbursements, and follow up on aged accounts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Determine patient's ability to pay and seek additional assistance through payment plans or uncompensated care
• Resolve billing issues by correcting errors that prevent claims from being billed
• Maintain account follow-up for all assigned accounts and respond to patient correspondence promptly

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Orlando Health team member development within 6 months of hire date
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in revenue cycle
