Patient Accounts Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare organization, the full-time Patient Accounts Specialist will manage billing for patient accounts, ensuring timely submissions and reimbursements from third-party payers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Determine patients' ability to pay and assist with payment plans or uncompensated care
• Resolve billing issues by correcting errors that prevent claims from being submitted
• Maintain follow-up on assigned accounts and respond to patient correspondence promptly

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Completion of Orlando Health team member development within 6 months of hire
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in revenue cycle
