Patient Accounts Specialist

Job Summary

To support patient billing operations, the full-time Patient Accounts Specialist I will manage accurate billing of patient accounts, ensure timely submissions and reimbursements, and maintain proper documentation while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Determine patients' ability to pay and assist with payment plans or uncompensated care
• Resolve billing issues and ensure accurate claim submissions by correcting errors from electronic payers
• Communicate with patients and payers to address inquiries and follow up on assigned accounts

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in revenue cycle
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must complete Orlando Health team member development within 6 months of hire date
