Patient Accounts Specialist I

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle team, the full-time Patient Accounts Specialist I will manage patient billing, ensure timely submissions and reimbursements from third-party payers, and maintain accurate account documentation while working onsite in Orlando, Florida.

Key responsibilities

• Determine patients' ability to pay and seek additional assistance through payment plans or uncompensated care
• Resolve billing holds by correcting issues that prevent claims from being billed
• Communicate with payers and patients to address inquiries and follow up on assigned accounts

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Orlando Health team member development within 6 months of hire
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in revenue cycle
