Patient Accounts Specialist II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Accounts Specialist II - Physicians' Billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accounts receivable follow-up and collection procedures for timely reimbursement
• Assist in the planning and coordination of work for billing and collection staff
• Investigate and resolve insurance claim rejections and discrepancies in billing

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in hospital/physician patient accounts or equivalent
• Proficiency in automated billing systems, specifically GE IDX and ETM
• Knowledge of third-party claims and diagnostic coding (ICD 9/10 and CPT coding)
• Understanding of billing and collection laws and regulations
