Job Summary
To support patient needs, the remote Patient Advocacy Specialist will manage inbound and outbound calls, assist with medical claims inquiries, and ensure a positive experience for patients navigating their healthcare options.
Key responsibilities
- Handle patient inquiries and provide first-call resolution for healthcare questions and concerns
- Guide patients through the medical claims process, ensuring they understand payment options and insurance claim statuses
- Document patient interactions accurately and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or patient advocacy
- Familiarity with insurance processes and medical terminology
- Proficiency with call center software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual skills preferred, particularly in English and Spanish
