Job Summary
Supporting patients through various communication channels, the fully remote Patient Advocate will manage incoming and outgoing calls, address medical billing inquiries, and ensure a seamless billing experience while meeting performance metrics.
Key responsibilities
- Manage an average of 60-80 patient calls regarding medical bills
- Utilize the Cedar platform to respond to patient inquiries via chat, phone, and outbound campaigns
- Lead the payment posting process and follow up on defaulted payments and insurance claims
Required qualifications
- 2-3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment
- 1-2 years of medical billing, insurance, or related healthcare experience
- Experience with electronic medical record systems such as Athena, eClinicalWorks, or Epic
- Proficiency in Google Suite and ability to navigate multiple systems efficiently
- Flexibility to adjust schedule as needed
