Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Advocate Specialist to assist patients in resolving account balances for medical services and determining eligibility for assistance programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen patients for eligibility of State and Federal programs and assist with applications
- Maintain positive relationships with patients and provide guidance throughout the application process
- Document patient interactions and follow up on applications to secure benefits
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
- Experience with medical coding or billing is a plus
- Proficient PC knowledge with typing speed of 30-40 wpm
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
