Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Advocate Specialist to assist patients in resolving account balances and securing assistance from government programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen patients for eligibility of state and federal assistance programs
- Assist patients with applications for appropriate assistance programs and provide guidance throughout the process
- Maintain accurate documentation in the CUBS system and follow up on applications until resolution
Required Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Prefer previous customer service or call center experience
- Prefer experience with medical coding or billing
- Proficient PC knowledge with typing speed of 30-40 wpm
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
