Patient Benefit Representative

Job Summary

To support the delivery of healthcare services, the full-time remote Patient Benefit Representative will facilitate insurance and benefit analysis, manage patient financial responsibilities, and coordinate with insurance companies for timely reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient appointments and admissions to secure necessary authorizations and manage insurance referrals
• Perform insurance management and financial clearance tasks, including payment plans and bad debt resolution
• Mentor fellow Patient Benefit co-workers and maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance and payor requirements

Required qualifications

• Experience with insurance terminology, medical terminology, and medical insurance plans
• Demonstrated ability to complete financial clearance processes
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under stress while meeting deadlines
• Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and insurance companies
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring prolonged standing and walking
