Patient Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support patients navigating their healthcare journey, the remote contract Patient Billing Specialist will provide compassionate assistance with billing inquiries, insurance concepts, and account support while collaborating with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide empathetic, patient-centered support through communication software
• Answer routine billing questions and explain basic insurance concepts
• Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and internal teams, escalating complex issues as needed

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle, or a patient-facing role with exposure to billing processes
• Familiarity with basic billing concepts such as premiums, EOBs, and deductibles
• Experience assisting patients with billing-related questions and insurance assistance
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to explain complex information simply
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
