Patient Business Services Supervisor

Job Summary

To support the operations of Revenue Billing, the full-time Patient Business Services Supervisor will oversee institutional claim processing, ensure compliance with billing regulations, and guide daily workflows in a remote work environment while being available for in-person meetings as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate hospital commercial and governmental billing functions for inpatient and outpatient services
• Monitor staff productivity to ensure departmental goals are consistently met and provide training and guidance to billing staff
• Prepare management reports on key financial indicators and analyze data related to quality and financial performance outcomes

Required qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 6 years of accounting or business office experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience, or 2 years of hospital or physician business experience with a preferred degree
• Knowledge of governmental and commercial billing regulations
• Experience with hospital collections, EPIC, or relevant healthcare billing systems is preferred
• Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for supervisory experience
