Job Summary
Working remotely on a part-time basis, the Patient Care Advocate will assist patients by answering calls and emails, scheduling appointments, and addressing medical requests in a fast-paced call center environment.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the front line of communication by answering patient inquiries and providing exceptional customer service
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient information and appointment scheduling
- Maintain call center performance metrics while resolving patient issues with minimal supervision
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred
- Two+ years of experience in an inbound call center environment
- One year of healthcare experience, such as working as a medical assistant or in a patient-facing role
- Strong telephone soft skills gained from prior customer or patient service experience
- Familiarity with the EPIC system is a plus
