Patient Charge Specialist

Job Summary

To support the surgery department, the full-time Patient Charge Specialist will manage daily data input, charge management, and assist in resolving billing issues while working onsite in Orlando, Florida.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily data entry and charge management, ensuring accurate execution and reconciliation of charges
• Serve as a resource for staff, providing guidance on data entry and patient charging processes
• Verify billable physician services and assemble necessary documentation for accurate billing

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience in a hospital, healthcare, or physician office setting
• Successful completion of a charge entry course within 30 days of employment
• Completion of a medical terminology course or formal clinical training within 6 months of employment
• Proficiency in clinical division software and office software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
