Patient Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing behavioral health practice, the full-time Patient Collections Specialist will manage inbound and outbound patient communications to resolve outstanding balances, set up payment plans, and handle patient statements in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for all functions related to the collection of payment on patient accounts
• Communicates directly with patients regarding their financial responsibility for services
• Handles inbound and outbound phone calls from internal and external customers, answering questions, taking payments, and resolving issues

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
• One year of clerical experience in a health care setting preferred
• Experience in a call center environment preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
