Patient Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Patient Collections Specialist will analyze insurance documents, process reimbursement claims, and manage patient account collections while ensuring accurate billing statements are released.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide expertise in claims support by reviewing, researching, and resolving various claims for health plans and commercial customers
• Handle inbound and outbound calls from patients and payors regarding claims and account balances
• Prepare and review insurance claims prior to billing and analyze trends to provide necessary reports

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED or 2+ years of equivalent working experience
• At least 2 years of experience in claims recovery and resolution
• Minimum of 2 years of medical billing and/or medical collections experience
• Moderate proficiency with computers and Windows PCs, including the ability to learn new systems
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with flexibility during normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
