Job Summary
To support patient care coordination, the full-time remote Patient Coordinator will manage referrals, communicate with patients and healthcare providers, and ensure timely delivery of care services while maintaining accurate patient records.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries regarding referrals, medications, and treatment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate all aspects of patient care effectively
- Manage scheduling requests and ensure timely communication of medication and authorization information
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of customer service or healthcare experience preferred
- 1+ years of experience with EHR systems, preferably athenaOne
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes required
- Experience working remotely in high-volume call environments preferred
