Job Summary
Providing compassionate support to patients, the full-time remote Patient Coordinator will manage incoming calls, document patient needs, and facilitate communication with nursing staff while maintaining confidentiality.
Key responsibilities
- Answers and manages incoming calls using approved scripting for both emergency and non-emergency situations
- Documents non-medical information and forwards calls to nurses through a structured phone screening process
- Communicates issues of concern to management and maintains confidentiality of protected health information
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred
- 1+ years of customer service experience required, with inbound call center experience preferred
- 1+ years of healthcare experience desired
- Intermediate to proficient computer skills
- Ability to follow scripted information while interacting with patients and escalate situations as needed
