Job Summary
Providing exceptional service to patients and providers, the fully remote Patient Engagement Advocate will manage inbound and outbound calls, schedule appointments, and document patient requests while ensuring KPI goals are met.
Key responsibilities
- Respond promptly to incoming phone calls and schedule patient appointments in the EMR system
- Document patient requests and pertinent information accurately to facilitate effective responses
- Coordinate with team members to maintain efficient workflow and adhere to safety policies
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in a call center, customer service, or medical office setting
- Previous experience in a medical office, particularly in optometry or ophthalmology, is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and state/federal regulations relevant to the position
