Job Summary
Providing exceptional service to patients and providers, the fully remote Patient Engagement Advocate will manage inbound and outbound calls, schedule appointments, and document patient information while ensuring KPI goals are met.
Key responsibilities
- Respond promptly to incoming calls and schedule patient appointments in the EMR system
- Document patient requests and pertinent information clearly to address customer needs
- Coordinate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow and adhere to safety policies
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience in a call center, customer service, medical office, or as a receptionist
- Previous medical office experience preferred, with a strong preference for optometric or ophthalmic experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and state/federal regulations related to the position
