Job Summary

Providing support to patients and providers through inbound and outbound calls, the fully remote Patient Engagement Center Advocate will schedule appointments, capture messages for clinic staff, and address customer needs while meeting KPI goals.

Key responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to incoming phone calls and schedule patient appointments in the EMR system
  • Document patient requests and pertinent information clearly in the EMR
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and maintain knowledge of site protocols and physician schedules
Required qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of related experience in a call center, customer service, medical office, or as a receptionist
  • Previous medical office experience preferred, with a focus on optometric or ophthalmic settings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations, including HIPAA guidelines
