Patient Financial Access Facilitator

Job Summary

To support patient access functions, the part-time Patient Financial Access Facilitator will manage patient check-in, registration, and scheduling processes while ensuring accurate collection of demographic and financial information in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and complete patient visit information, collecting necessary demographic and insurance details
• Accurately schedule patient appointments in collaboration with the clinical team based on facility schedules and patient needs
• Ensure proper documentation of financial information and insurance entry to facilitate reimbursement for the health system

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
• One to two years of experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a hospital or physician office
• Experience with registration, third-party insurance verification, and financial clearance
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interpret insurance benefits
• Basic computer skills and adaptability to various programs and systems
