Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Financial Advocate - Financial Counseling.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients in navigating financial responsibilities and prepare estimated costs of services
• Resolve patient account disputes and establish payment agreements or charity care
• Communicate with various departments for problem resolution and ensure timely responses to patient inquiries

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in a high-volume customer service environment, preferably in healthcare
• In-depth knowledge of patient accounts, collections, and insurance regulations
• Familiarity with third-party payers, Medicare, and billing practices
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding requirements
