Patient Financial Advocate
Job Summary
Supporting the transplant area, the full-time Patient Financial Advocate will counsel patients on financial responsibilities, assist with payment options, and advocate for patients with insurance carriers while working remotely from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Key responsibilities
- Counsel patients on insurance benefits and alternative payment sources while explaining financial responsibilities
- Contact insurance carriers to advocate for patients and initiate the collection process for prepays
- Identify and resolve issues related to registration, financial clearance, and billing procedures
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with three years of customer-facing experience, or an Associate's Degree with two years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with one year of experience
- Experience in finance, such as banking or cashiering, is preferred
- Bilingual speaking is a plus
