Job Summary

To support patient access functions for Ambulatory Business Operations, the full-time remote Patient Financial Clearance Representative will manage financial clearance activities including verifying insurance eligibility, confirming health plan benefits, and communicating patient financial responsibilities prior to scheduled appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and calculate patient liability estimates
• Communicate financial responsibilities clearly to patients to ensure understanding of costs and coverage
• Coordinate with health plans for prior authorizations and secure necessary referrals from primary care physicians

Required qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in a healthcare setting, including insurance plan authorization
• One year of experience in medical billing or related fields
• High School Diploma or equivalent education
• Proficient in using personal computers and various software applications
• Strong customer service skills with a patient-centered focus
