Patient Financial Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing mental health practice, the full-time Patient Financial Clearance Representative will investigate and communicate mental health benefits, generate cost estimates, and counsel patients on their financial options while working remotely from TX, NC, SC, or FL.

Key responsibilities

• Verify mental health eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements through various communication methods
• Contact patients to inform them of their financial responsibilities and available options when necessary
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve insurance issues and ensure accurate patient information

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer service, insurance verification, or healthcare
• Strong understanding of insurance benefits and mental health coverage
• Call center experience is strongly preferred
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
