Patient Financial Navigator
Job Summary
To support patient financial clarity, the part-time hourly Patient Financial Navigator will manage patient records, educate patients on financial responsibilities, and assist with billing inquiries while working Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, transitioning to remote work after initial training.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure accurate patient records, including demographics and insurance coverage
- Provide financial education to patients regarding out-of-pocket expenses and payment options
- Communicate effectively with patients, payors, and other departments regarding financial inquiries and authorizations
Required qualifications
- Associate's Degree with one year of customer service experience, or High School Diploma with two years in a call center or healthcare setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft software and solid computer skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in patient financial matters
