Patient Financial Recovery Specialist

Job Summary

Providing customer service to hospital patients, the full-time Patient Financial Recovery Specialist will assist with account inquiries, arrange payment options, and process payments while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to patient calls and manage account inquiries, including payment arrangements and processing credit card payments
• Investigate insurance information and evaluate patients for charity eligibility while maintaining accurate account notes
• Achieve designated collection and productivity objectives while adhering to confidentiality and compliance guidelines

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in customer service and call center environments preferred
• Familiarity with the medical billing process preferred
• Strong PC operation skills with typing speed of 30-40 words per minute
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
