Patient Financial Services Analyst

Job Summary

Identifying trends to enhance accounts receivable, the full-time Patient Financial Services Analyst will perform patient accounting functions, including charge validation, denials resolution, and claims follow-up in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and reconcile billing errors or omissions while ensuring compliance with billing guidelines
• Monitor Discharged Not Final Billed (DNFB) accounts to minimize volume and value
• Provide guidance and serve as a subject matter expert on billing and collections processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a healthcare billing office
• Two years of experience in a healthcare billing office
• Knowledge of hospital/clinic billing, collections, and major insurance companies' policies
• Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, and Revenue Codes
• Understanding of medical terminology
