Patient Financial Services Representative

Job Summary

To support patient financial services, the full-time Patient Financial Services Representative will assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits, estimate and communicate financial responsibilities, and provide financial counseling while working remotely from MO, IL, OK, or WI.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits, including co-payments, deductibles, and co-insurance responsibilities
• Educate patients about financial assistance programs and verify insurance coverage
• Document and resolve patient inquiries received through various communication channels within established time frames

Required qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
• No prior experience required
• Proficiency with insurance portals and Epic
• Strong understanding of insurance processes, including Medicare and Medicaid replacement plans
• Excellent customer service skills
